it’s all about self discovery

Getting to write about this guy is hard. I love his music and his art but when it comes to sitting down and writing about it I find it a drole.

*note: I just did a search about the word drole and it is not a synonym for the word boring but i will keep using it like that because it feels right*

But I did want to do some deep analysis about the Museum Music album he released earlier this year. I really enjoyed the experimental sound that he brings and how he points out the absurdity of modern reality and society. But I am kinda over this in depth hyper analysis of capitalist critiques right now, I can apply this lens to his work and come to conclusions that will satisfy me and like stimulate that intellectual side of me. But I wouldn’t feel that would satisfy me for what I would want to write about.
Around the time of the album release this youtuber I watch inconsistently did a review, Prof. Skye’s Record Review, I feel like that captures everything that I would say about the album.

Skeletrix recently did a performance art show titled Jester’s Privilege, an experience I did not get to see. But I feel only leans further into the absurdist world that he tries to bring us into.

Looking at the pieces and the exhibits, I don’t get it, my mind tries to understand and make some intellectual draws to soothe me but I feel like there’s no point. I like the art for what it is. I like that it makes me think differently about how I appreciate and attach myself to art.

I see how he has a vision and pursues it in spite of whether it is understood or not and I find that admirable and inspiring.

Truthfully I don’t have much to say, I like his art and I would say Skeletrix is my greatest inspiration when it comes to creating art.
